Installing UI.X Pro with Install & Upgrade​

  1. Your first step is to download the UI.X Pro package from your customer area. You will be asked to provide some information before downloading. Once you download, save the .zip file somewhere you are familiar with.
  2. Next, you will want to extract the files. After that is done, locate the Install & Upgrade add-on. You will need to upload the contents inside the upload folder into your root XenForo directory.
  3. After you have uploaded the files you will need to navigate to the Add-ons section within your XenForo admin panel. Here you will see Install & Upgrade listed under "Installable add-ons". Just click Install!
  4. Navigate to ACP (Admin Control Panel) > Setup > Service Providers > Install & Upgrade profiles and click “Add profile”. Add a profile for ThemeHouse, XenForo Client Area, and the XenForo resource manager.
  5. To add ThemeHouse, you’ll need to obtain your ThemeHouse API key. You can find the API key in your customer area on ThemeHouse. Navigate to your account dashboard > Account > API > Generate an API key before copying it.
  6. Paste your API Key in the field titled API Key under [UI.X] General options in your board options.
  7. To install add-ons, navigate to ACP > Add-ons > Add-ons and choose “Install & Upgrade”. Install & Upgrade automatically obtains a list of available products from all profiles that support it. When clicking “Install & Upgrade”, the first opened tab will be “Install from available products”. If the tab is not shown, you do not have any eligible products. Select one or more add-ons you like from the list of available products, and hit “Install”. Install & Upgrade will guide you through the rest of the installation automatically.
  8. To install styles, navigate to ACP > Appearance > Styles and choose “Install & Upgrade”. Install & Upgrade automatically obtains a list of available products from all profiles that support it. When clicking “Install & Upgrade”, the first opened tab will be “Install from available products”. If the tab is not shown, you do not have any eligible products. Select a style you like from the list of available products, and hit “Install”. Install & Upgrade will guide you through the rest of the installation automatically.
  9. After installing all themes and add-ons included in UI.X Pro, navigate to ACP > Appearance > Styles and choose the UI.X Pro theme.
  10. Congratulations! You've officially installed UI.X Pro. Be sure to check the suggested configurations highlighted throughout the documentation.

Please Note: This is the preferred method of installation for UI.X Pro.

Installing UI.X Pro Theme with the UI.X 2 Add-on​

Installing the Add-ons

Install XenForo add-on by extracting the contents inside the upload folder into your root XenForo directory. After you've uploaded the files, navigate to your Add-Ons within your ACP and click Install on each add-on.

  1. Your first step is to download the add-on from your customer area. Navigate to one of your purchases before looking for the green download button. Click on that to grab the UI.X Pro Add-on files.
  2. Extract the files. After that has completed, upload the contents inside the upload folder in your root XenForo directory.
  3. Navigate to your ACP and locate your Add-ons menu. Click “Add-ons”, you should see the UI.X Add-on with an Install button next to it. Click on that as it should then automatically install.
  4. Congratulations! You have officially installed the UI.X 2 add-on on your site. From there, click on the cog icon before clicking the options tab that shows on the drop-down.
  5. Before the add-on will allow you to download the UI.X Pro theme, you must set an API key. You can find the API key in your customer area on ThemeHouse. Navigate to your ACP > Account > API > Generate an API key before copying it.
  6. Paste your API Key in the field titled API Key under [UI.X] General options in your board options, and then navigate to the section titled ThemeHouse styles under Appearance.
  7. UI.X Pro will now appear as available to download through the add-on - click Install.

Installing UI.X Pro Manually​

  1. Be sure that you grab the UI.X 2 Add-on before you install the theme as it is required for theme functionality. You can learn more about installing the UI.X 2 add-on by reading the instructions marked "Installing UI.X Pro with UI.X 2 Add-on" above.
  2. Download UI.X Pro from your customer area. You will be asked to provide some information before downloading. Once you download, save the .zip file somewhere you are familiar with.
  3. Next, you will want to extract the files to a place on your computer that you will remember. Inside the downloaded folder are a number of other folders such as /PSDs/ and /Upload/. If there is an /Upload/ folder, upload the contents of /Upload/ into your root XenForo directory using an FTP program such as FileZilla.
  4. You will next want to import the .xml file, normally named style-UI.X-Pro.xml. To do this, you will need to log into your XenForo control panel and select the Appearances tab. Click the Import a Style link, choose the .xml file (that you downloaded from themehouse.com). If this is your first installation, set the 'Import as' field to 'Child of style: (no parent style)'. (Other listed options come in handy for product updates from ThemeHouse.) Finally, click Import.
  5. Now that you've imported the UI.X Pro theme, create a child skin of that theme. (This step preserves the theme's configuration and is critical for seamless product updates.) Go to your XenForo installation Admin Control Panel and select the Appearances tab. Now, click on the Styles tile button. Click the + Create New Style button.
  6. Set the Parent Style field to 'UI.X Pro’, name the child, and click Save Style.

Please Note: Be sure to have the UI.X 2 Add-on installed as it is still required even when installing the theme manually.
