Promoting Threads to Blog Posts​

This feature is only available with Article and Forum Connect Plus. Promoting a thread to a blog post will create a new post with the contents of the first post in the thread, and automatically link the thread and post together so comments will display on WordPress. Users will also receive an alert when their thread has been promoted to a blog post.

Promoting threads to blog posts can be done by expanding the “...” menu at the top of the thread and clicking “Promote thread to WP post”.

You will need to grant permission in XenForo to allow users to promote threads to post.

User groups: ACP > Groups & permissions > User group permissions > select a user group > WordPress Forum Connect permissions > Promote thread to WP post

Users: ACP > Groups & permissions > User permissions > select or search for user > Forum Connect permissions > Promote thread to WP post

Forums: ACP > Forums > Node permissions > select a node > select a user group or search for a user > WordPress Forum Connect permissions > Promote thread to WP post
