Permissions
Administrator Permissions
The following administrator permissions can be set:
- Manage [TH] Monetize upgrade pages
- Manage [TH] Monetize affiliate links
- Manage [TH] Monetize keywords
- Manage [TH] Monetize sponsors
- Manage [TH] Monetize communication
User Permissions
The following user permissions can be set:
- View post content (requires view thread content) - This permission is set to yes by default, but can be set to no if you want users to be able to view thread pages but not be able to view the content of messages. This can be used in conjunction with Upgrade Page overlays to indicate that an upgrade is required in order to view the full content.
- Post snippet length (requires view post content) - This can be used instead of disabling the View post content permission above and allows you to set the maximum length of a post’s content that can be viewed. The remainder of the post content will be concealed from view. Note that the actual content shown may contain fewer characters than the specified length if showing the exact number of characters would result in only part of a word being shown. Setting to 0 will show all of a post’s content and will inherit the value where possible if a post snippet length is set in node permissions. If you have the permission set in multiple user groups or in multiple nodes, then the biggest value will apply.
- Maximum viewable posts (requires view thread content) - This limits the number of posts that can be viewed per thread.
Node Permissions
The following node permissions can be set:
- View post content (requires view thread content) - This permission is set to inherit by default, but can be set to no if you want users to be able to view thread pages but not be able to view the content of messages. This can be used in conjunction with Upgrade Page overlays to indicate that an upgrade is required in order to view the full content.
